The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is located in one of the most fascinating European regions, at the crossroads between the German-speaking and Italian economies and cultures. Its trilingualism in teaching and research, its high level of internationalisation as well as an ideal study environment guaranteed by its excellent facilities are some of the reasons why unibz regularly reaches top positions in national and international rankings.

The university has five faculties, and a high percentage of lecturers (35%) and students (17%) come from abroad and they study, teach and do research in the fields of Economics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Education and Design. We have 4,100 students registered to more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses.

Patrick Dallasega

Patrick Dallasega is an Associate Professor of Factory Planning and Project Management at the Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy). He studied at the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy) and got his PhD at the University of Stuttgart (Germany). He is the Head of the Extended Reality laboratory (XR-lab) of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and Associate Editor of the scientific journal Production & Manufacturing Research. His main research interests are in, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, lean construction, lean manufacturing and production planning and control in MTO and ETO enterprises.

Earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Industrial Mechanical Engineering at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Currently he is a PhD student researching the applications of Extended Reality (AR, VR, and MR) in the industrial and educational sectors.
